Abstracts

The submission system opens 10 January 2016

Abstract submission deadline 30 May 2016 (Rome time 23:59).
Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Abstract can be submitted online.
The submission must be in one of the 4 different categories:

  • Basic Science
  • Epidemiology & Genetics
  • Clinical and Outcome Measures
  • Treatment

The length of the abstract is not more than 3200 characters (including spaces and punctuation).
Only one graph/image can be included (extention of image file allowed are .gif  .png  .jpg  .jpeg  .pdf  .ppt  .pot  .pps.).
Information on accepted abstracts will also be available two months prior to the congress.
Abstracts containing data that has been presented or will be presented at a different scientific meeting during a 12 months period prior to Conference can be submitted. This fact must be indicated on the submission form.

Oral presentation

Oral presentation should be 7 minute with 3 minutes for questions.

Power point presentation will be supplied in rooms. The speakers are kindly requested to bring their presentation data within CD, DVD, USB Memory sticks and USB hard drives. The speakers who are going to present through Macintosh system are kindly request to bring their own computers.

Poster presentation

Posters will be set up in exhibition area.
The poster will be 70 cm (width) and 90 cm (height) and will be mounted vertically.
The letters should be large enough to be read from a distance of 1.5 meters.
Garphics and digital photos should be at least 100-150 dpi in their final printed size.
If an abstract is accepted as a poster presentation, the presenting author will be requested to be available for discussion during the corresponding poster viewing session.
Double-site tape will be available for mounting the Posters.
